When Judaism became part of the Sri Sathya Sai Symbol of Unity of Religions

The Jewish Festival of Light was celebrated by twenty four Jew devotees at Brindavan on this day. Bhagavan lit the ‘Menorah’, the Sacred Lamp of Judaism. The Jews had the privilege of garlanding Bhagavan during Darshan. He blessed them with Padanamaskar. Bhagavan had mentioned in one of His interviews given to the Jews earlier that since the Jews were not a significant large religious group in India, the Sai Emblem representing the five major religions did not include the Jewish Symbol in it. But, henceforth, He would permit the overseas centres to include the Star of David in their Sai Emblem in recognition of Judaism’s role as a world religion and their ancient spiritual tradition.
