Ati Rudra Maha Yajnam

The Ati Rudra Maha Yajnam was held at Prashanti Nilayam from the 14th to the 25th of February 2025, attracting devotees from around the world. The event aimed to invoke the Lord’s blessings for the prosperity of humanity, protection from various hazards—both natural and unnatural—and the promotion of world peace and individual well-being..

The eleven-day Yajnam featured morning sessions dedicated to chanting the entire Sri Rudra Namakam eleven times and the Chamakam once each day. In the evenings, renowned musical artists from across India performed in the Sai Kulwant Hall, captivating the audience with their exceptional talent.

The concluding days, the 10th and 11th, were marked by particularly grand ceremonies. On the evening of the 10th day, devotees witnessed the Shiva-Parvathi Kalyanam—the divine wedding symbolizing the union of the male and female principles. The ritual was accompanied by melodious instrumental music, creating a deeply spiritual and memorable experience. The 11th day’s morning proceedings culminated with eleven havankundas chanting the Namakam and Chamakam simultaneously, followed by the Poornahuti ceremony and the Maha Mangal Aarati, providing a fitting and majestic conclusion to the sacred event.

The Ati Rudra Maha Yajnam recorded remarkable participation numbers, with thousands attending in person at Sai Kulwant Hall and an additional 15,689 devotees joining virtually from around the globe without any compromise in quality. This widespread participation resulted in the Sri Rudraprasnam being chanted a total of 155,735 times—equivalent to eight Ati Rudra Maha Yajnam cycles instead of just one. This extraordinary feat earned the Sri Sathya Sai Media Centre an All India Record, officially recognized and presented by the India Book of Records.
